Construction Alert – November 16, 2022: Nighttime Bridge Delays
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the following:
Vehicular Traffic Advisory:
Nightwork will occur to perform a bridge balancing of the East Haddam Swing Bridge, this work cannot be accomplished in concurrence with vehicles driving on the bridge. The contractor will be performing short intermittent swing span openings for the balancing.
Due to anticipated inclement weather tonight, these intermittent swing span openings have been rescheduled for Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at 6:00pm, Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at 6:00pm, balancing work is anticipated to be completed before morning rush hour (6:00am). Travelers using the bridge should anticipate short delays (10-15 minutes).
